- Founded Public Market Development and helped plan, manage and develop nearly 50 public markets around the U.S.
- Served as featured speaker at numerous national conferences including a White House conference on effective community and economic development as well as a convener of a Ford Foundation Task Force on utilizing Public Markets as a proven tool for community and economic development
- Heads the Grove Arcade Public Market Foundation directing $10 million to go to the renovation of the Grove Arcade to become a Public Market and spark reinvestment in Asheville
