F. Barton Harvey III

Frederick Barton Harvey III served as President of Enterprise Community Partners and joined Enterprise in 1984. He currently serves on Fannie Mae’s Board and is the Chair of the Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee and is also a member of the Risk Policy & Capital Committee and the Executive Committee.

  • A leading provider of development capital and technical expertise to create affordable housing and rebuild communities at Enterprise where he served as Chief Executive Officer from 1994 to 2007
  • Served as Managing Director of Corporate Finance positions for the Investment Bank Dean Witter Reynolds
  • Assisted the work of the National Housing Task Force and served Mitchell-Danforth Task Force on the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit since 1988
  • He served on a number of housing related Boards including The Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, the National Housing Conference, and the National Housing Trust
  • Noted leader in the field of housing and community development, and was instrumental in working with Congress to create the Low- Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC)
  • Received his earned his Bachelor’s degree in 1971 and M.A. from Harvard University in 1974
