Gail L. Thompson

Gail Thompson, AIA,  is currently serving as Project Director for the Performing Arts Center of Great Miami.

  • Former Vice President of Design and Construction for the New Jersey Performing Arts Center which received the 2001 Silver Medal Rudy Bruner Award
  • Served as Assistant Vice President of Facilities and Planning and Development at the American Stock Exchange in New York where she was responsible for planning, design, and construction of facilities for that organization
  • A member of the Manhattan Borough President’s Council for Planning for Pedestrians
  • Profiled as “The Newsmaker” in Miami Today; featured in The Miami Herald as one of 40 South Floridians to watch in the new millennium; appeared in Black Enterprise magazine and Ebony; awarded the Black Achievement Award by the Harlem YMCA of New York in 1984, and the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women selected as their Business Award recipient in 1988 and as their 20th Century Pioneer in 1996
  • Holds a degree in architecture from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, an MBA in Real Estate and Finance from Rutgers, and holds a commercial pilot’s license and actively exposes minority youth to aviation
