Wellington E. Webb

Wellington E. Webb is the President of the Webb Group International and was the Mayor of the City and County of Denver for 12 years.

  • Served three terms as Denver’s first African American mayor placing a priority on ensuring quality of life in Denver’s neighborhoods, and has overseen major economic development in sports and entertainment facilities in the city
  • Served as Vice President of the National Conference of Black Mayors, Vice President of the National Conference of Democratic Mayors, and Board Member of the National League of Cities
  • As President of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, Webb issued the Conference’s Urban Agenda for 2000, frequently asked to speak n for national issues affecting U.S. cities.
  • Ebony magazine named Mayor Webb as one of the one hundred most influential African Americans in the Nation; in 1996 Mayor Webb was recognized by Newsweek as one of the top 25 mayors in the nation
